  • The children have had a fantastic week. The highlight being the day spent with John from the Oxford Lieder Music Project. The children have already been asking when he will be back.
  • This week Explorers have been continuing with Running Wild in English, begun work on ratio in maths, finalised their 2D sculptures and begun to look at the human body in science.
  • Being in school every day makes a difference, it's important!
  • A poetic week this week! The weather helped us out as we planned our own poems based around the Snow.
  • Sign up to National Online Safety and complete a course in internet safety for parents. For every certificate you email in you’ll earn a whopping 75 house points for your child’s house.
  • We've had some fantastic home learning in Oceans' this week. We've been writing our own poems in English and some of the children have written their own poems for home learning!
  • As part of our Wild things topic, this week the children in Coral Reef are making their own monsters using clay. They are building on the skills they learnt last week to create their monster.
  • This free online safety guide looks at iPads, the world’s most popular tablet computers. It highlights possible hazards including the risk of age-inappropriate content, physical damage to the device and potential screen addiction.
  • This week Islands have been inspired by the famous artist Henri Rousseau. They have worked incredibly hard to create their own masterpiece, that is unique and personal to them.

    Community News: We are With You, Oxfordshire CAMHS

    We are With You is open to Parents and Carers of young People aged 5 – 25 years across Oxfordshire, you do not need an open referral or have ever been open to CAMHS to access the offer.

    We have Parents webinars:

    Thursday 26th February - Sleep & Mental Health. 5pm – 6pm, Online.

    Friday 13th March 2026 – Unmet Needs or Emotional Avoidance? Understanding the Difference in School Non-Attendance. 1.30pm – 2.30pm. Online.

    Date to follow for Supporting Children with limited food intake and sensory sensitivities

    Family wellbeing walks (during the Easter Holidays at both Blenheim Palace and Harcourt Arboretum.

    Date to follow for Parents only wellbeing walk at Harcourt Arboretum.

    Online, drop-in coffee mornings, 2 Thursdays per month, dates can be accessed via the booking link.

    Free SEND workshops for Parents and Carers from SENSE Learning

    Dear Parents and Carers,

    Happy new year to you all.

    I wanted to let you know about upcoming Parent Workshops, taking place throughout the Spring Term as part of our ongoing parenting offer.

    This term we will be running six workshops, designed to support parents and carers with practical guidance, up-to-date information, and strategies that can be used at home. The sessions are a great way to learn, build understanding, and gain confidence in supporting your child’s development and wellbeing.

    Workshop topics include:

    Emotional development and its link to behaviour
    Parenting styles and attachment

    Brain development in children and young people

    Self-regulation and sleep

    Online safety

    Understanding young people’s mental health


    Booking information

    All workshops are free to attend

    Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite

    Places are limited, so we encourage early booking


    Full details of each session, including dates and times, are available on the Eventbrite booking page which is on the attachment in the email.

    We hope you will be able to join us and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to learn more and connect with other parents and carers in a supportive environment.

    School admissions

    School admissions for September 2026 intake has now opened. If your child turns 4 yrs old by 31st August 2026, you will need to apply for a school place. The deadline for admissions is 15th January 2026. If you need any help in applying for a place please come and see Sarah in the Pod and she will be more than happy to help.
