  • Another busy week has been had by all, enjoying the outdoors in all weathers. From making muddy breakfasts to building a plane and flying around the world! It has been a great week of fun and learning.
  • Lessons build on what children already know and missing one may make tomorrows lessons more difficult.
  • Yesterday the children discovered that someone had been in our home corner over the weekend and made such a mess!
  • We have been timetravellers this week, travelling from the Paelaeolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze Age, all the way to the Roman Age.
  • It has been another busy week in Reception. We started our daily phonics lessons and the children have been keen to learn a new sound each day and have worked hard to form the letters correctly. Thank you for helping your child to practise at home too!
  • It’s been another busy week in the Anemones class as we focused on our circus skills! The children worked hard to develop their gross and fine motor skills using a range of resources.
  • This week Islands have continued their work as experts in the Ice Age. They have travelled back in time to search for Ice Age creatures and worked to protect the woolly mammoths.

    Community News: Egg-venture Day at Youlbury

    Egg-venture Fun Day at Youlbury
    Monday 6th April 2026, 10am-4pm

    Join us for a fun-filled, Easter-themed day of outdoor adventure. For just £5 per person (free for under 5s), families can enjoy a range of activities suitable for all ages, including:
    Egg hunt with a chocolatey prize
    Easter arts and crafts
    Aeroball
    Soft target sports

    There will also be optional paid activities for those looking for extra adventure, plus refreshments available to purchase.

    Active Adventures Holiday Club at Youlbury
    Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April 2026, 9am - 5pm

    Looking for something for children to enjoy across the Easter break? Our Active Adventures Holiday Club offers action-packed days for 8–16 year olds, combining outdoor adventure with fun and skill-building.

    Activities may include:
    High-adventure experiences such as climbing and zip wire
    Archery and target sports
    Team challenges and games
    Bushcraft and outdoor skills

    It’s a fantastic way for young people to build confidence, make friends and enjoy the outdoors in a safe and supportive environment.

    £35 per child, per day. Discounts available for block bookings. Early drop off/late collection available.

    Community News: We are With You, Oxfordshire CAMHS

    We are With You is open to Parents and Carers of young People aged 5 – 25 years across Oxfordshire, you do not need an open referral or have ever been open to CAMHS to access the offer.

    We have Parents webinars:

    Thursday 26th February - Sleep & Mental Health. 5pm – 6pm, Online.

    Friday 13th March 2026 – Unmet Needs or Emotional Avoidance? Understanding the Difference in School Non-Attendance. 1.30pm – 2.30pm. Online.

    Date to follow for Supporting Children with limited food intake and sensory sensitivities

    Family wellbeing walks (during the Easter Holidays at both Blenheim Palace and Harcourt Arboretum.

    Date to follow for Parents only wellbeing walk at Harcourt Arboretum.

    Online, drop-in coffee mornings, 2 Thursdays per month, dates can be accessed via the booking link.
