Our teams are just beginning to compete in this city wide challenge against other Oxford primary school.
This term we have been working hard in PE in the Oceans Phase. We have been learning how to play golf and different jumps and stances in Gymnastics. Today we counted all the house points together and found out the winners... Carmel!
The children have watched the baby calves being fed this morning. We practised being super silent and the calves came to say hi! A few even thought we were delicious.
We are already exploring the maternity field where there were baby calves born last night. The children are blowing Liza away with all of their knowledge about farms.
We are so proud of our Egyptian themed shape poems , helping us to show all we’ve learned about ancient Egyptians this term.
This week Islands have been exploring how to show different tones in their sketching and how to draw lines of different sizes and thickness.
Today we learnt about being safe on the internet, when we use computers, tablets and phones.
This week in Oceans we've been learning about the diversity of communities within Oxford. We used 2011 government census data to analyse the diversity within Oxford and how it has changed since 2001.

Flu Consent Form - Action RequiredThe annual school aged Flu vaccination programme this year, is being offered to all children in Years Reception to Year 11. Flu can be a very unpleasant illness for children and sometimes causes serious complications. Children can catch and spread flu easily so vaccinating them also protects others who are vulnerable e.g. babies and older people.
This is particularly important as COVID-19 continues to circulate and people at risk of flu are also vulnerable to the complications of COVID-19.
Whether you wish for your child to have their Flu vaccine or you do not, please complete the form at least one full school day before the session. After this date you will find the online system will not work. The system will reopen the day after the school session to enable a form to be registered and a community clinic appointment be booked.
For most children, the Nasal Flu vaccination is painless and given by a quick and simple spray up the nose. In somemedical circumstances it is necessary to administer the Flu vaccine by intramuscular injection instead of the nasalspray, but this will always be discussed with parents/carers beforehand.
