Term 5 week 4
This week in Aegean we continue with our time telling skills on maths along with our BMBT , we are super excited that some of the children are now enjoying the ultimate challenge in big maths.
In English we have looked at two different styles of writing . We’ve looked at what is in a letter focusing on the 5 bums on a bench ( who , what , when , where , why and how ) , using complex sentences and connectives such as and , or , because . We’ve also looked at instructions and spent some time following different instruction during some cooking session.
Topic we are looking at and comparing Ancient Greek soldiers V GB soldiers and how they’ve changed over time , before using junk modelling to create our own helmet or shield.
We’ve be using our oracy skills along side our mulberry bush to work together during cooking sessions , taking turns in making and reading the instruction.
Finally Aegean are loving the drier weather and we’ve managed to visit the park !
