This week we welcomed Raffia to our class, who will be helping us for a while.

Our focus has been Up, Up and Away (Journeys & Aerial View), exploring perspective, patterns and adventure through our core texts Up, Up, Up and The Naughty Bus. We looked at our houses on Google Maps and used describing words to talk about where our homes are located.

We have been thinking about what things look like from above and exploring using Google Earth. In Literacy, the children described journeys and explained how to get to their houses. In Maths, we explored different kinds of patterns.

Next week, we will begin exploring How Things Work, investigating questions such as why things float and how different objects work.
