This week, Moorhens class enjoyed learning about the solar system, finishing the week by creating their own paper mache planets. We explored each planet and learned interesting facts about space.

In literacy, we continued reading Traction Man Is Here by Mini Grey, using the story to inspire our own superheroes. As a class we thought carefully about what strengths, weaknesses, and adventures our heroes may have. Using mixed media, the class built their heroes, and shared stories about the characters they created- we had many fantastic ideas!

During Friday golden time the class cooked pancakes in the kitchen. As a team, we carefully measured ingredients, mixed up a few different batters, and cooked the pancakes. The boys collaborated on choosing toppings, and will be bringing home some pancakes for their families.
