As writers, we continued planning our diary entries, thinking carefully about how to express thoughts and feelings from Iliona’s perspective. Arctic have completed their writing for this and Indian will complete theirs next. We have focused on developing our SPaG skills, including the use of conjunctions, descriptive language, and varied sentence openers to bring our writing to life. As mathematicians, we continued our multiplication and division unit. The children have been exploring grouping and sharing and have been practising using a variety of times tables to help them solve problems efficiently. We have been working on explaining our reasoning clearly and choosing the most efficient strategies.During our food technology lesson the children had a fantastic time making hummus! They followed a recipe carefully, practised safe food preparation, and experimented with a variety of flavours. We were very impressed with their teamwork and creativity—some delicious combinations were created!

Christmas Service
A huge thank-you to all the parents who attended our Christmas service at the Oxford University Church. It was such a special experience for the children, and a lovely opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the season.

Next week is our Christmas Spirit Week—please check the School Jotter for details of our Christmas festivities. In class, we will be looking at the question ‘has Christmas lost its true meaning?’.

On Tuesday, we have been fortunate enough to be invited to a Christingle Service at Christ Church Cathedral. On Monday, Oceans will make their very own christingles ready for the service. We will be walking to the Cathedral, so please ensure that your child has appropriate clothing on this day. If you are available to assist us, please email the Oceans or speak to Sereeta or Beth on Monday after school. Unfortunately, parents are not invited to this service.
