Rockpool Weekly Reflect and Review6 November 2025 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
We have had a fantastic start to the half term. It has been great to have everyone back and ready for learning!
The children have now started in their new phonics groups and this is going really well. We have been using our flash cards, developing our understanding of the letter sound 'M' and using our phonetic knowledge to read CVC words and begin to write sentences. We are so busy!
In maths we are developing our understanding of number as we begin to order numbers to 10 and think about one more or one less than a given number. We have also been using different shapes to create our pictures as we reflect on our previous learning.
In topic we are continuing to follow the book 'peace at last.' We are thinking about animals that come out at night! I wonder what you see on a late night walk around the park! We are also beginning to practise our Christmas songs ready for our big performance.
If you would like to buy things for Remebrance, supporting our poppy appeal, please go to the office aftre school to choose what you would like. We hope you all have a fun and busy weekend and look forward to seeing you back in the morning for our Friday Funday!
