    Rockpool Weekly Reflect and Review

22 October 2025 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB))

    Happy Holidays!

This week we have continued to develop our phonetical knowledge through story sacks. These are full of props that help the story come to life. From Goldilocks and the 3 bears with finger puppets to Old McDonalds farm animals, it has been a fun way to explore sounds. We are also supporting the children to recognise and sign the initial letter sound for their name.

In maths we are looking at shapes. We now know our basic shapes and have been using them to make pictures. We had a farmer and his tractor, baths and hats! We hope you have a lovely half term break and enjoy the many activities available over the half term. On Tuesday 28th October Rectory farm have a SEND Pumpkin Patch session, full of fun activities.

We will see you back on Tuesday 4th November. As the weather is changing please can you ensure that your child has a warm, waterproof coat and wellies in school to use in the garden. We would also like to ask for indoor shoes for your child to change into when they arrive at school. As the weather gets colder we would recommend warm and comfortable, safe slippers. Thank you.
