    Rockpool weekly Reflect and Review

9 October 2025 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB))

Another amazing and busy week of learning!

This week in Rockpool the children have been learning to identify and recognise the initial letter of their name, creating beautiful art work and engaging in a range of literacy games to support their learning. In phonics the children have been learning about the story 'Peace at Last' and have been thinking about listening to sounds within the environment.

In maths we have continued to learn about 2D shapes and have started to think about the properties of triangles, squares and rectangles. The children have been working on numbers, from counting forwards and backwards to working out their number bonds to 10.

We had great fun in musical theatre this week and are working hard to move in new ways to the music. Next week we are going to be having a pizza party! The children are going to be developing their fine motor skills as they spread, chop and sprinkle!

Please can we remind Parents that our gate will open at 8:30. Please can you ensure you are at the gate at 8:30 as we cannot wait for anoyone who arrives after this time. The children need to get in to their class and start their busy day! Thank you for your understanding.
