Summer term, week 4
It been another busy week in nursery. As the weather is continuing to stay warm, please apply sun cream to your children before they arrive, we are always happy to reapply cream but this must be provided.
The children have enjoyed reading our new books and acting out the stories with the puppets. The Three Billy Goats Gruff and the Gingerbread Boy are the favourite.
In the garden the children have used the crates, balancing beams and large blocks to make different forms of transport to take us on a journey. This week we went to the sea side and ate lots of ice creams made of sand, with lots of wood chip sprinkles and stick flakes.
We have been practicing our skills for writing as we made marks in shaving foam, using our fingers and tools. The youngest children also explored this in other sensory ways the main one being using their taste buds.
As it has been warm and the children have the option through free flow play to choose what they want to do many stayed inside and have been practicing their cutting skills.
A reminder that the Teddy bears picnic is on Tuesday 8th July at 11.15 (in the Nursery garden inside if it rains) all families from the Pod are welcome, if it is not your child's session you will need to stay with them, this is a great way to met other parents and have an informal chat with your child's key person. We hope to see lots of you there.
Have a fabulous weekend and we will see you all next week. Thanks for your continued support. The Pod Team
