The Quay Term 6 Week 4 Reflect and Review

Phew, what a scorcher!

What a hot and busy week it has been! We are incredibly proud of how all of the children have coped with the changes to our usual routines during the heatwave. They have shown just how secure they are in school and how much their communication and self-regulation skills have developed.

To help everyone stay cool, we have enjoyed lots of ice and water activities indoors, as well as some mega water play outside. The children loved exploring, splashing, and keeping refreshed while learning through play.

There have also been some exciting wildlife discoveries this week. The Moorhens class found salamanders in our wildlife pond, which sparked lots of curiosity and discussion about the creatures living in our school environment.

Thank you for ensuring that children come to school with water bottles, sun hats, and suitable clothing during the hot weather. We hope everyone has a lovely weekend and finds some time to stay cool and relax!
