Term 6 Wk1
Aegean have had a fab start back to the last summer term, with some amazing swimming skills on Monday, followed by some brilliant team.
Work and sharing skills Monday afternoon with our mulberry bush activities.
Aegean are very excited to start out on a new topic learning about Shackleton and his boat Endurance. Some of the children have enjoyed using the book to gain basic knowledge about their journey and enjoying the detail of art in the book , which we will continue to embed and explore further in the coming weeks. We’ve started using the atlas to find the start and end of Shackleton's journey, plus familiar places to us like Great Britain, Spain and Ireland .
Our Oracy skills have been refreshed over our snack time this week and in English we have been exploring prefixes and suffixes and how words can change. Some children also remembered the use of conjunctions from before half-term and have created some complex sentences.
PDR has been fun developing our tennis skills along with hand-eye coordination through ball games .
Swimming will continue on Mondays this term. Please remember your kit.
Thanks, Aegean.
